Eligibility

If you are aged 60 or over you are entitled to a FREE eye examination under NHS regulations. For a home visit (‘domiciliary’ visit), you are eligible for free eye tests as long as you are unable to visit a high street optician unattended.

Are you in receipt of the appropriate benefits?

You are entitled to an NHS optical voucher/ NHS spectacles:

If you and/or your partner receives Pension Credit Guarantee
If you and/or your partner has a valid HC2 certificate (certificate number and expiry date required)
If you and/or your partner has a valid HC3 certificate (certificate number, expiry date and amount that voucher will be reduced by, are all required).
If you do not come under any of these categories you may be privately funded. If you are 60 or over you are still entitled to a FREE eye test under NHS regulations, although you may have to pay for glasses. An authorisation/ invoice sheet will be left on the day of testing for you or alternatively, if a power of attorney’s details are provided, I can contact them directly.
